Staff members of the blood cancer diagnostic laboratory, lab head Olena Kreminska and doctor - laboratory assistant Tamara Smolenska, will undergo 2-weeks professional training at the Cedars Sinai Medical Center, California.

The trip resulted into steady agreements on extending the cooperation on the presented projects. In particular, it was agreed that early next year United Arab Emirates’ representatives will come to Ukraine to study in more detail Ukraine’s medical projects.

A series of agreements on cooperation within the Children’s Hospital of the Future Project’s framework was achieved and dates of the interested parties’ visits to Ukraine to study the project in more detail agreed upon.

In course of the meeting, structural layouts, engineering and design solutions were discussed.

Mrs. Yushchenko asked the journalists to visit the Center’s construction site on a regular basis to execute civic control over the construction process.

The All-Ukrainian Center to Protect Mothers’ and Children’s Health, a.k.a. Children’s Hospital of the Future, is being created as patient care institution of the fourth (highest) accreditation level. Seriously ill children, who cannot be cured in Ukraine at present, will be admitted here. The project has become the biggest charitable project in Ukraine’s history.

In course of their stay at Cedars-Sinai, Ukrainian doctors familiarized themselves with its structure, the organization of the diagnostic and treatment process, work of some of its units, in part, Pathology, clinical and diagnostic labs, and medical genetics service.

The Foundation turned to the National Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 in Kyiv with a request for a historical note on the events, taking place on this site in World War II.

July 27, 2009, Head of the Children’s Hospital of the Future Charitable Fund’s Board of Directors Vira Pavliuk and Director General of Altis-Holding Corporation Oleksandr Hlimbovsky signed a contract On Construction Site Development and Design Works during the Construction of the All-Ukrainian Center to Protect Mothers' and Children's Health at the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation headquarters.

Field engineers took the explosives to a special ground, where they had been destroyed.

Having removed all faults, the designers will start an active work on detailed elaboration and forming all necessary chapters of the design estimates for the All-Ukrainian Center to Protect Mothers’ and Children’s Health for the Comprehensive State Expert Examination.

In general, the architectural community supported the project. All proposals and critical comments will be recorded in the Architecture and City Planning Council meeting report.
