Recall that the contest of art objects for the Contemporary Arts Park at the All-Ukrainian Center to Protect Mothers’ and Children’s Health, a.k.a. Children’s Hospital of the Future, was announced September 13, 2007. The first stage was finished March 1, 2008.

The document reads that the main Contract on Purchasing Medical Equipment for the All-Ukrainian Center to Protect Mothers’ and Children’s Health Radiotherapy Unit of the Radiology Center will be signed between the Foundation and the Company’s assignee, legal person and resident of Ukraine (Kyivspetsresurs Ltd.) within 80 days since the Provisional Contract is signed.

The subject of the conference was the plans for training Ukrainian professionals for the All-Ukrainian Center to Protect Mother's and Children's Health, a.k.a. Children's Hospital of the Future. In part, the parties discussed one-three weeks trainings for multidiscipline teams of pediatricians, neonatologists, obstetricians, gynecologists, IC specialists, and managers. Ukrainian experts prepared lists of issues which, in their opinion, should be included into the training curriculums in each area.

The winner is the ELEKTA Company (authorized legal entity – resident of Ukraine Kyivspetsresurs Ltd.). The size of the contract for supplying medical equipment is $9,988,000.

Also in course of the press conference, Head of the Board of Directors of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation Oleksandr Maksymchuk voiced a statement on the attempts to impede the Children’s Hospital of the Future charitable program implementation.

The discussion was rather animated. The speakers answered numerous questions. After the speeches, a discussion took place, followed by awarding the most active participants.

May 19, 2008, the Children’s Hospital of the Future Charitable Foundation received the official decision of the Architecture and Town Planning Council at the Ministry of Regions Development, Housing and Building of Ukraine.

The symposium presented a chance to estimate the present situation with perinatal aid in Ukraine, consider the problems and attainments faced in course of the creation of a perinatal center at the All-Ukrainian Center to Protect Mothers’ and Children’s Health, a.k.a. Children’s Hospital of the Future.

Memorandum of Understanding specifies key areas of cooperation between Children’s Hospital of the Future Foundation and GE Healthcare International in the implementation of the All-Ukrainian Center for Child and Mother Health Care (Children’s Hospital of the Future) development project.

The subject of the conference was pilot model of the International Healthcare Cooperation Program presented by Cedars Sinai. The participants of the conference described the model’s major aspects, tasks, and expected results.

The Hryshchenko and Partners Ltd. is the official legal partner of the Ukraine 3000 and Children's Hospital of the Future Charitable Foundation.

The law firm has granted the Foundation free legal assistance in conducting cost examination of a foreign contract on services in preparing design and estimate documentation between the Foundation and Building Design Partnership Ltd, Designer General of the All-Ukrainian Center to Protect Mother's and Children's Health, a.k.a. Children's Hospital of the Future.

Thirteen individual and group projects were submitted in various age categories. Young artists from Kyiv and Lviv proved most active, presenting both individual objects and complete designs for the park.

The parties agreed to launch special educational programs in the sphere of medical institutions management, in part, MD programs, and also trainings for Ukrainian doctors at the University by the Children's Hospital of the Future program.

Ms. Pavliuk and Mr. Lazoryshynets visited one of the University’s educational centers where future doctors perfect their skills in diagnosing and emergency aid. The center’s equipment simulates various pathologies, on which students have to take correct medical decisions.

The visit was part of the program of studying state-of-the-art technologies in hospital equipment. The Dominicus hospital was constructed by the so-called module method, allowing to assemble a hospital in a short term, taking into consideration its medical task and architectural design.

Commenting on this decision, Head of the Supervisory Board of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund Kateryna Yushchenko said that this event symbolized successful completion of an important stage of the creation of the Children’s Hospital of the Future. “We hope that we’ll soon go through the next stages and start the construction, looked forward to by the whole country,” she said.

The participants discussed the effectiveness of the philanthropy, the situation with charity and philanthropy in the developing countries, interaction of charitable organizations with the state, media, and business.
