Provisional Contract Signed on Purchasing Medical Equipment for the Children’s Hospital of the Future’s Radiotherapy Unit of the Radiology Center25.07.2008, 16:31
July 21, 2008, a Provisional Contract on Purchasing Medical Equipment for the All-Ukrainian Center to Protect Mothers’ and Children’s Health, a.k.a. Children’s Hospital of the Future, Radiotherapy Unit of the Radiology Center (Kyiv, Ukraine) was signed in Stockholm, Sweden.
Among the participants of the ceremony were representatives of Children’s Hospital of the Future Charitable Foundation, Elekta Limited Company, and Kyivspetsresurs Ltd., the company’s assignee in Ukraine.
The Provisional Contract was signed by Head of the Board of Directors of Children’s Hospital of the Future Charitable Foundation Vira Pavliuk and Elekta Limited Vice President Gerry van Oortmarssen.
The contract was composed considering the results of the bidding competition for purchasing medical equipment for the Radiotherapy Unit of the Radiology Center at the All-Ukrainian Center to Protect Mothers’ and Children’s Health, announced June 6, 2008, and the minutes of a Children’s Hospital of the Future Charitable Foundation’s Conference meeting, announcing the winner, of June 9, 2008.
The document reads that the main Contract on Purchasing Medical Equipment for the All-Ukrainian Center to Protect Mothers’ and Children’s Health Radiotherapy Unit of the Radiology Center will be signed between the Foundation and the Company’s assignee, legal person and resident of Ukraine (Kyivspetsresurs Ltd.) within 80 days since the Provisional Contract is signed.
The subject of the Main Contract will be purchasing, shipment, assembling, and aftersales service for two linear accelerators, computer tomograph for treatment simulation, planning system, controls for the MOSAIQ radiology system and other necessary equipment, and trainings for the medical staff (curriculum and schedule to be agreed upon later).
The total cost of the Main Contract is UAH 50,938,800.00, or $9,988,000.
