Children’s Hospital of the Future Project Presented at Healthcare Infrastructure Development in Russia and CIS Summit 2009

December 15 and 16 the Russia and CIS Healthcare Infrastructure Summit 2009 was held in Moscow, organized by The European Finance Convention, Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), and International Financial Corporation (IFC).

The major themes of the two-day summit were: financing healthcare projects, the importance of direct investment, banks, and international financial institutions, and examples of successful medical projects and innovative solutions in health care.

Representatives of state, private, medical, banking, insurance, and other organizations in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Hungary, the US, Germany, and Poland were present. The Children’s Hospital of the Future Charitable Foundation was represented by Inna Holovanchuk, member of the board of directors.

In the end of every Summit’s session, the participants had a chance to ask questions or discuss the speaker’s report.

The presentation of the All-Ukrainian Center to Protect Mothers’ and Children’s Health drew great attention of the Summit participants. The commentators repeatedly noted that the Children’s Hospital of the Future Project is the biggest children’s medical project in Eastern Europe.

A series of agreements on cooperation within the Children’s Hospital of the Future Project’s framework was achieved and dates of the interested parties’ visits to Ukraine to study the project in more detail agreed upon.
