Children’s Hospital of the Future Foundation and Elekta Company Hold a Working Meeting

April 14, 2010, staff members of the Children’s Hospital of the Future Charitable Foundation held a working conference with Elekta Company representatives.
Recall that in 2008 Elekta Company won the bids competition for equipment procurement for the radiology unit. According to the contract, the company undertook, in part, to procure two linear accelerators, computer tomographer for simulation operation, planning system, MOSAIQ radiology unit supervision system, and other supplementary equipment.
At the meeting the parties discussed the progress of the All-Ukrainian Center to Protect Mothers’ and Children’s Health project implementation and Elekta representatives’ participation in the project documentation development in the RD Stage. Also under consideration was a list of leading clinics, having experience in training linear accelerators’ operators (radio physicists, radio therapists, clinical oncologists, etc.).
